I was looking for a powerful air conditioning unit that could cope up with the computer equipments that I have in the office. And I'm glad to say that the Amcor PLM14000EH 14000-BTU Portable Air Conditioner takes care of the task pretty easily. Matter of fact, it is a little too cold in my office now!

As for noise levels, YES, it is a little noisy. BUT that's quite expected when you have a portable air conditioning unit

I wanted a powerful AC unit that could keep up with the computer equipment in my office. The 14,000 BTU handles that load well. It actually gets too cold in my office now for my comfort. It's a little noisy but I expected that in a unit this size. No more than you would expect from any portable AC unit.

There is one feature I'm very happy about (which surprisingly is NOT listed when I made the purchase) - and that's the water line that helps drain the collected humidity right through the exhaust hose.

And to make things even better, it makes mist of the water...evaporating it almost instantly and doesn't leave any water lines outside of my window.

What About The PLM14000EH's Heater?
As for the heating part, I never had the chance to use it BUT it's really nice to know that it's there. The intuitive remote, the nice backlit LCD screen, all of these and more make the Amcor PLM14000EH 14000-BTU Portable Air Conditioner a MUST have!
