About a year ago, I decided to grab the 2 units of the EdgeStar 12,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner Dehumidifier Fan. The first unit was broken. True, the packaging was in perfect condition BUT the base of the unit (the part that collects excess water) is broken...it's cracked.
Good thing, their customer service is outstanding. I called up the manufacturer, there was no problem getting them to the phone and they immediately sent a replacement. Definitely there are no issues when it comes to customer service with EdgeStar.
Onto the second unit - this one shakes very badly when the compressor kicks it...so bad that it shook the lights on the basement below. Again, the customer service department came to the rescue and replaced the unit with one that is working perfectly.
If there is one thing that I would complain about the EdgeStar 12,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner Dehumidifier Fan, that would have to be the build. I don't know - maybe it's coincidence that I get factory duds all the time BUT the replacements they send are working perfectly.
